Fire cider and orange juice, why didn’t I think of it before? This fire cider mimosa mocktail might be the push someone needs to try fire cider. And I’m all about that. I love it because of its simplicity. Anyone can make it with very basic ingredients. And accessibility is the whole point of herbal education.

If you’re familiar with fire cider then I probably don’t need to tell you how awesome it is. But for those of you who aren’t familiar, it’s an infusion of spicy, pungent herbs and other ingredients that boost the immune system. I made some a few months back, you can find that recipe here.

It’s been two years since I’ve been off the sauce and I like it better. I can feel myself moving into what I like to call my fancy mocktail phase. Everything tastes better in a fancy glass for some reason. So why not put fire cider in a fancy shmancy glass?

To get the real mocktail vibe, I, of course, had to salt the rim with gorgeous flake salt and cinnamon. It added such a rich flavor that I wasn’t expecting. It was delightfully complex. I fully recommend doing this if you want to make your own.

Next is ice, fire cider and I then topped off with orange juice. I didn’t use freshly squeezed, only because I wanted the recipe to be easy. Freshly squeezed is ideal, but orange juice from the grocery store works perfectly fine. An orange peel is essential for fanciness, so obviously I needed one. I also added a few sprinkles of the flake salt and cinnamon mixture. Ugh, it’s so good!
