The warmth of the summer may still be lingering but the feeling of fall is in the air. I love a good chai this time of the year. The creaminess of the milk, the spices, I love it all. This iced chai latte is one of my favorite recipes and it’s really got me looking forward to the next season.

Making your own chai drinks at home can save you a lot of money. Plus, you can make it exactly how you want it so they’re perfect every time. Technically a latte is made with espresso beans and steamed milk. Both of those require expensive and fancy equipment, but this recipe doesn’t.

So technically this recipe isn’t a latte, but I’m still going to use that word because it tastes just like one and I’m definitely not a coffee purest. Instead of espresso, I’m using tea. And instead of a steamer, I’m using a frother. Different techniques but same result.

If you’re wondering what kind of chai to use, use your favorite! I always prefer a good herbal chai, but the choices are endless. You could also use a pre-made masala chai mix if that’s what you prefer. Tazo is a tried and true brand. I find these a lot in coffee isles at the grocery store.

Are you looking forward to the upcoming fall season? What’s your favorite go-to fall season drink?
