When it comes to chocolate, I have no self-discipline. I often find excuses to eat it, and the thing is I really have no plans to change. I am what I am. Life is short, so why not over-indulge in some chocolate? This chocolate chip skillet cookie is one of my favorites, and the addition of coffee salt is definitely the cherry on top.

I’m a big fan of adding salt to my sweets. When I was a little kid I noticed my grandpa pouring salt onto a slice of watermelon, ever since then I was hooked. I made caramel corn with coffee salt a few weeks back, you can find it here if you’re interested in more salty sweet treats.

If you’re looking for a great recipe for beginners, here it is. It’s easy to assemble and as long as you set a timer for the oven, it’s fail-proof. Homemade cookies taste so much better than store bought. It’s worth the extra effort to mix the ingredients yourself.
