I’m all about efficiency. My personal mantra is to work smarter, not harder. I try to prepare for the future whenever possible and I do that in lots of different ways. For example, making lists is my religion, I always back into parking spaces so I can easily leave whenever needed, I make it an effort to never drive my car under half a tank of gas, and I meal prep. In the spirit preparing for the future, these hibiscus tea ice cubes are a creative way to plan ahead for your tea-drinking future.

I used hibiscus but any tea can be substituted. I recommend mint, chamomile, rose, basically anything floral. Green tea is also awesome to use. I also wanted to add a couple garnishes to make them extra cute and exciting. So I also added frozen cherries, I sliced up little lemon pieces, then added some rosemary sprigs. Here is a list of other ingredients you can use as garnishes:
- Pineapple chunks
- Orange slices
- Apple slices
- Blueberries
- Strawberries
- Raspberries
- Honey
- Maple syrup

To begin, brew hibiscus tea and allow it to cool. I wanted my ice cubes to be more concentrated so I used 4 teaspoons of hibiscus. The flavor was perfect. Pour the cooled tea into an ice tray then add the garnishes. Freeze the ice trays over night then pop them into a serving glass when you’re ready to drink some tea. Pour just boiled water over top and watch the ice melt. It really is super exciting.

Want to really amp up your tea? Pop an ice cube or two into prosecco or champagne for the ultimate cocktail. They rule and they’re so pretty!
