HALLOWEEN CHARCUTERIE BOARD

Oh, October. You’re finally here! That means it’s spooky season and I’m all for it. I made this Halloween charcuterie board to help bring in the best month of the year.

I love a good theme. And Halloween is one of the best themes. I’m still getting settled in a new state so I haven’t had a chance to make friends yet, but that won’t stop me from celebrating all hallow’s eve. I plan on getting dressed up and handing out candy to the kids. I’m pretty excited about it actually.

I bet you’re thinking I made this charcuterie board for a party or some kind of get together. Nope. I made it for myself and shared some of the cheese with Penny (my dog). It was pretty glorious.

I used a cookie cutter to cut the brie into a ghost shape. It’s the cutest little detail. I also threw in some witch fingers and little skulls to make it feel extra spooky.

Red grapes felt very fall so I wanted to be sure to include them. They add a punch of color as well as some sweetness to the salty and savory flavors of the other ingredients. I used three types of cheeses, brie, sharp cheddar and pepper jack. And mixed nuts, black olives, dill pickles, rosemary baguette slices, Triscuits and sea salt crackers. It was the perfect little smorgasbord if you ask me.
