APPLE SPICE TEA BLEND DIY

It’s apple picking season, which means apple pie season! This season really inspires me. So much so that it conjured up this apple spice blend that I’m going to share with you today.

Follow along if you’re looking to make your own tea blends and ‘ll show you how to make this delicious blend yourself. The important thing to note is that the key to any good tea blend is quality ingredients. Just like the food we put into our bodies, it’s important to use good quality (and organic, if possible) herbs when making your own tea blends.

Most of these ingredients are probably already in your kitchen, but if you need help sourcing any of them I recommend Mountain Rose Herbs. I also suggest to check out your local apothecary or herb shop if you have one locally. Or, if you’re the gardening type, grow your own.

I used a French press to brew my tea but any diffuser or teabag will work if you don’t have one handy. For herbal tea, I use just boiled water (about 180-212 degrees) and steep for 3-5 minutes. Discard the solid herbs and tea is served!

This blend is naturally sweeten but since I’m going for apple pie vibes, I like to sweeten a bit more with maple syrup. This is optional, but I highly recommend it. Agave nectar or brown sugar will also work well to sweeten this blend.
