MATCHA FIZZ (MOCKTAIL)

With St. Patrick’s Day right around the corner, I’ve had green drinks freshly on my mind. This brings me to matcha. With its beautiful green color, I knew it would make the perfect ingredient for a mocktail. This matcha fizz will certainly put you in the spirit this season, plus it’s so delicious you’ll want this around all spring and summer.

All it takes is matcha, vanilla extract, honey, lemon juice and ginger ale. Sprite can also be used for an even sweeter flavor. I also suggest to use brown sugar to rim the serving glass (plus it makes it extra fancy).

If you’re looking for a boozy drink, you’re one step away. Add a shot of gin or vodka and now it’s a cocktail. Easy breezy.

If you’ve never tried matcha before, give it a try! It has a natural sweetness, with a touch of nutty and a vegetal and savory finish. It’s so uniquely good and complex. I love using it recipes due to its versatility. It also has a gorgeous green color. It creates beautiful drinks that look and taste like no other. There are different grades of matcha available, each have their own flavor and nuance. I use culinary grade because it’s bold and creamy.

Do you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day? If so what’s your favorite St. Patty’s Day themed drink?
