There’s something about blending tea that feels so primal. It feels organic and empowering, like maybe I’m carrying on a skill that some may consider valuable. I guess I could say that my favorite thing about it is that anyone can do it. We all have our own preferences to taste, texture and nuance. This makes every blend and batch unique. And this is exactly what I love the most about tea in general. With that in mind, I’m going to share a fun Valentine tea blend with you and I hope it inspires you to get elbows deep in your tea and blend your own batch. Since naming my blends isn’t my strong suit, I’m referring to this one as a very valentine tea blend.

Don’t let the [insert here] generic name fool you, this tea is awesome. It even looks like Valentine’s Day! We’ve got hibiscus flower, rose hips, cacao, cinnamon, vanilla bean. All of these sexy ingredients for such a sexy holiday. I source my ingredients from Mountain Rose Herbs.

How many people even celebrate Valentine’s Day? I always loved making V-day cards as a kid and decorating my desk and locker. Those felt like super exciting times for me and it allowed me to be creative. I dig it. Now, instead of cards, I look forward to chocolate and tea. It really is the most perfect little holiday.

Love it or hate it, let me know how you celebrate. And let me know if you make your own tea blend. I’d love to know what you think of the recipe.
