HOT CHOCOLATE WITH TEA MARSHMALLOWS

Oh, hot chocolate. How I love you so. I feel like I could never grow out of it. It’s my preferred drink at any cafe or coffee shop. And I feel like that will probably always be true no matter how old I am. I’m definitely a whipped cream or marshmallow in my hot coco person. Have you ever tried tea marshmallows? They are infused with the flavors of tea, and they’re wonderful. I like to plop one or two (or maybe three) into my hot chocolate.

I shared how to make your own tea infused marshmallows at home here. If you’ve never made marshmallows before, it’s super easy. It seems more complicated than it actually is. I had a lot of fun and it got really creative when I made them.

There’s nothing better than steaming hot cup of hot cocoa with marshmallows after coming in from the chilly weather. To top it off I add whipped cream and a dash of cinnamon. It definitely gives it a little spice.

The nuance of the tea in the marshmallows infuse into the hot chocolate perfectly. It’s a delightful addition to the drink and probably something I’ll keep around for a while. It’s pleasantly complex.

Ingredients

  • Chocolate powder
  • Almond milk
  • Tea infused marshmallows

Directions

  1. Combine the chocolate powder and warmed almond milk until blended.
  2. Add a marshmallow or two (or three, if you’re like me)
  3. Enjoy!
