I guess it’s safe to say I’m a die hard Christmas fan. I’m not sure exactly what it is I love about it so much, but I dig it. The smells, the lights, the feelings, the busy-ness of everything are all magical. And who couldn’t use some magic in their life? I wanted to capture the smells and see if I could preserve those feelings the season give me, and I knew right away that a crockpot would totally do the trick! This crockpot potpourri was exactly what I was looking for. The aromas trigger so many happy feelings for me, and I hope they do for you, too!

There are a ton of scents that are Christmas-eque, here are a few you could use in your own recipe:
- Cinnamon
- Christmas tree
- Orange
- Vanilla
- Cranberry
- Clove
- Star Anise
- Bay Leaf
- Ginger
- Mulled Wine
- Rosemary
I knew I wanted to use tea, cinnamon and some pieces of my Christmas tree. Then I remembered I had cranberries and oranges in the refrigerator. I also had clove and bay leaf. I put them all into a small crockpot and I had all of those nostalgic smells I love about the holiday.

This recipe is especially perfect if you have family members who may not be in the Christmas spirit. This will nudge anyone into the mood. It’s a little hard to ignore the vibes this concoction brings. It also doesn’t require much effort at all, so what’s to lose?
What are your favorite Christmas and holiday smells? Do you have any fun rituals to keep your house smelling Christmas-y throughout the holiday?
