This Valentine tea blend is the softest and most delicate. I thought it would be appropriate to make such a delicate blend for such a delicate day. I’ll share with you how I made it.

Valentine’s Day is weird for me. I love an excuse to have a theme and the fact that the day is reserved for love appeals to me. But it all feels like a lot of pressure and just another reason to buy more things. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE chocolate and gifts are always nice. But spontaneity is always better.

When I’m formulating tea blends I always measure by parts. Blending tea is a very creative time for me. It’s something I really enjoy and it feels much more natural to measure this way.

I used ingredients that are light and flow well together. They are also ingredients that remind me of love and romance and all that mushy stuff.

Rose is the base ingredients. I love it for this blend because it’s uplifting with a taste just as delicate as its petals feel. I find it very effective for elevating the mood. Go smell a rose and tell me it doesn’t take you to a soft place. Roses are incredible!

Next is green rooibos. It gives the blend depth and adds a richness to the soft flower petals. I also think it gives a more pleasant flavor overall.

Elderflower is used because it’s calming. And it’s floral flavor really does add to the blend.

Raspberry leaf is queen. She is a nervine and often used to relax the pelvic and uterine muscles. Nervines help support the nervous system. All of which are great for certain Valentine’s Day activities. 😉

Last but certainly not least, we’ve got lavender buds. Lavender is also calming. It’s often used for anxiety and stress. It’s definitely one of my favorite herbs when I’m looking to mellow out.
