APPLE SOOTHER MOCKTAIL

Oh chamomile. My favorite. I love the calming effect it has on me. Every-single-thing about it appeals to me. It’s got it all. This apple soother mocktail does too.

Chamomile and skullcap

I combined equal parts chamomile and skullcap and steeped them into a tea. These two ingredients were used specifically because they help calm my nerves. I use them a lot.

The first step is to combine the sugar and cinnamon on a small plate. Then dip a cute glass into the cinnamon and sugar mixture until the rim is fully coated (be sure the rim wet before coating with the cinnamon and sugar mixture). Next, I muddled a slice of apple to get a deep apple flavor.

Once the tea cooled, I poured it over ice. I also added a bit of raw honey. I’ve been using a lot of raw honey during these winter months. Its antioxidant properties have been known to help strengthen the immune system and that’s exactly what I need.

To get it all nice and bubbly, I topped off with seltzer. I also sprinkled a bit of the cinnamon sugar mixture on top, because why not?

The chamomile has a nice hint of apple that flows through and it’s just so good!
