ELDERBERRY SYRUP MOCKTAIL

Since it’s dry January and all I thought it would be appropriate to share a mocktail recipe. I just had my one year anniversary, or whatever you want to call it, being alcohol free. Technically I do sample all of the alcohol recipes I create and write about, so I have had alcohol but I’m not a drinker at the moment. I just don’t need it in my life right now, ya know? Without further adieu, here’s my elderberry syrup mocktail recipe.

This recipe is totally alcohol free but if you imbibe then feel free to replace the seltzer with vodka or gin, both would pair well with elderberry. The base of the recipe is from my elderberry syrup post that I shared here. You can make your own like I did, which I always prefer. Or, if buying it works better for you then that’s perfect as well.

I’m all about looking for excuses to get the benefits of elderberry into my daily routine. This mocktail is one of them. I’ve been making it a point to make myself a mocktail after a productive day. It makes me feel like I’m celebrating with a cocktail, minus the nasty hangover.
